Alliant Reloader 17

Initial very small volumes have been swallowed up by the US market. Not sure when more will come in but it certainly shows promise. I have working hard to get a few lbs to test myself.

What bugs me is that all we see is velocity data but doesn't anyone shoot at paper while blasting away over a chrony?

No use having speed without accuracy.

Looking at the factory produced data, the numbers ARE NOT much different from other powders so am a little curious about real world results in my rifles.

Will not take long before this style of formulation works into all forms of powders from the likes of Hodgdon. So called 'high energy' powders have been in use for a number of years. Just no one has been able to get them to the reloading public.

Hopefully, now's the time.

Yep, curious here as well. The possibility of getting lucky on a new powder is worth the cost of experiment, especially for precision shooters.

Cheers

I stand corrected! I guess I was thinking of primers.

It's a common belief. I thought so too until I researched shipping powder, primer and ammunition.

All are "Consumer Commodity" in small personal or retail amounts.
No quantity limitations are imposed on the transportation of sporting ammunition, primers and
power device cartridges when classified as 1.4S. For the purposes of retail sales for consumption by individuals, these articles have been designated a "consumer commodity" and are hence exempted from
many provisions of the TDG Regulations

You do need to inform your shipper though. Not all accept them.

I use Canpar.
