You got your gun before me but I beat you to the range....
I just got to sneak in and shoot as the club's indoor range was closing for the night. Dumped the two moonclips worth and then had to step aside to let the guy with the broom sweep the brass....
I found out that from the short barrel version I got that 9mm in a revolver feels a LOT closer to .357Mag rounds than it does to .38Spl. It's got a real SNAP to it. It'll be interesting to see if the added weight of your 6 inch barrel soaks some of that up for you. I was a bit rushed and shot 8 of the twelve in DA mode so the groups were not as tight as I normally get due to the heavy pull and being a little rushed. I pulled the first group a trifle low so half were in the -0 and half in the -1 portion of the IDPA target. The second clip (I can say "clip" now instead of "mag"

) I put into the -0 head portion and got all 6 on target with 3 shot in SA and 3 in DA. Range to the target was around 12 to 14 yards during this quick trial.
I also got one of the lighter springs which I'm going to put in after I shoot one more session with the stock setup.
Plinker777, I didn't shoot it without moonclips but I did check to see how far the rounds chamber with and without moonclips. I need to check with shims but it sure does look like the rounds headspace on the rim mouths instead of the moonclip. I'm pretty sure I will be able to pull a slip of paper through easily between the moonclip and the back face of the cylinder.
The ejector does not have anything to catch the case grooves though. So unless the moonclip is used the casings will need to fall out from gravity or be pushed out with a little poker of some sort through the throats of the cylinder or we'll have to flick them out with a fingernail in the exposed rim grooves.
My time from here to Monday is booked solid. But next week the plan is to get out and do some shooting and put in the reduced force spring and shoot some more. Watch for a complete review of the gun and spring by mid week coming up. With detailed pictures, targets with holes and everything.
