I believe it is a 98 based action. No easy conversion to detachable magazine. Bases and rings would be no problem.
When Alpine went out of business, Alan Lever of Lever Arms in Vancouver picked up everything they had left. It was a good deal for anyone that was handy. Completely machined receiver, adjustable trigger, sporting style aluminum trigger guard and a new pre chambered barrel of pretty decent quality. It all needed final sanding and finishing of course.
I picked up several sets in several different chamberings.
One thing was pretty obvious. The receivers were milsurps that were being refinished as sporters by cutting down the receiver ring and grinding off the charger bridge then drilling and tapping.
This was in the early seventies, just after the UK started getting extremely anal about becoming more like Big Brother. Many well known manufacturers closed their doors about that time.
I magnafluxed all of the receivers I bought. All of them were fine. I had a bud that X rayed a couple but that was just a waste of time. He worked for a company that Xrayed pipeline welds for the oil pipe welders.
I say a waste of time because all was well.
I still have one of those kits. It is chambered in 243 Win.
OP, If I am correct and your rifle is the same as mine it has a hinged floor plate. The nice thing about a hinged floor plate is that you should be able to drop it and the cartridges will fall in your hand. If you open it and dump in 3-4 cartridges they will align properly when you close the floor plate.
IIRC, Numrich has detachable magazine kits. A Parker Hale assembly should fit as well.
