Alright You Buggers, Here It Is - Back from Zimbabwe - Continued in Post 42

I finally got a chance to sit down and do the math on this escapade. When the dust settled the whole trip cost me $18,209 for all my expenses related to the hunt. Airfare (or in my case airline taxes and fees as I used points), shipping and taxidermy will be separate and likely not come in until early 2011 but if you consider that I paid my initial deposit in January 2009 at the SCI show and just settled up with Chifuti last week it's not that bad. Add in tips and sundry expenses and $20K is a fair ballpark for the hunt.

For under $400 a month you can put together an awesome trip. I'm already wondering what I should start planning for next.
 
I'm already looking at going back for elephant. My guy has a slot for next fall, but that might be a tad quick for my budget much as I'd love to be wealthy enough to back to back dangerous game in Africa years wise. The hook has been set deep for me, that's for sure.

Tough call, I had such a great time I could go back to the same place without a qualm. However, would be neat to get into new areas, Namibia's on the radar for sure.
