Hello everyone,
What are your suggestions for a new sxs 12ga. that is not made in Turky, Is there one?
I have an Escort O/U with around 200 shells thru and the under barrel stopped firing I really like the gun and it fits well- but now its a single shot!

I'm sure It can be fixed, just havent got there yet. I was looking at a sxs because I shot one a long while ago and always like the look of them. I was looking at one made in Brazil -and I know a cheap gun is a cheap gun, but are some better than others? I will look at Baikal

Before I looked at a new one from Brazil I would be looking at a nice used one. There are some on here right now that are far better and they are at pretty decent prices. Not making any sales pitches for anyone on here but there is a nice FEG Continental lowered to $350.00. I have one and they are well built guns with chopper lump barrels. There is also a Famars that has been lowered to a decent price and there was an Ithaca SKB 100 that had been lowered to around $625.00 (it might be sold now). I would pick any of these over a new cheap one. But that's just my opinion.

whaaaal I would'nt say crap, they just need to fire the heat treater and hire a quality control department!! But then I guess the price would be 3 Grand.
The gun is really nice apart from that.

Trade ex one of our site sponsors has 100's of these in many makes and sizes, at crazy prices..........check out their link above

The old Baikal I bought for Cowboy Action looked like it had been used for more than a few hunting seasons when I got it. When I pulled it fully apart to check things over and tune the heavy triggers the insides looked like they had never been fired. And it's built like the proverbial Russion Tank. Baikal isn't glamourous but they ARE solid. Mine has done lots of plinking and matches as a sawed off "coach gun" and it's working as well now as when I first got it about 700'ish rounds later.

Try the CZs; made in Turkey, but they have quality control :). I've got two, one in 12, one in 20, both the Partridge model; SxS, BLNE, straight stock with double triggers, and am extremely happy with both. The wood on the 20 in particular is far better than I had any right to expect from an $800 gun.

Baikal all the way look up Baikal Canada web site . Then e-mail them a message they will point you to the closest dealer Ellwood Epps is one .
