Aluminium vs steel main tube

I was looking at Meopta scopes and noticed the Artemis model has a steel tube. Any real benefit to this as opposed to aluminum ? Any drawback?

It's heavier. It's also heavier. The finish might better match your rifle as opposed to the usually matte aluminum tubes, but it can rust just like a rifle. Otherwise there is little advantage. For the forces a scope endures it offers little in the way of additional strength.
