aluminum "Brass" for handgun?

Last time I was out at the range, I found a bunch of 45ACP, and 40SW aluminum "brass" all over the place. Never heard of it before. Does anyone have any more details?

Sounds like CCI Blazer ammo to me. It's less expensive, but it can't be reloaded.

Scott would be correct. Blazer has also started making real brass loaded ammo aswell.

The aluminum cases are their claim to fame.

I've fired thousands of Blazer rounds, never seen aluminum ones. Are they still manufactured?

"...still manufactured?..." Yep. CCI Al cased ammo is ok, but not terribly accurate.
