Apparently these things were selling for $250 bucks. Doesn't seem too expensive for the kind of machining going on there. You would have to supply the AR furniture mind you. But I thought I would show you other Savage boys.

Thanks,

I can't say I'm a huge fan of the chassis system in general, AR ergos on a bolt action? Maybe on a 338 Lapowpow or something of that nature, but I think if you were to coat that aluminum so it would match the rest of the stock it would look alot better.

I have the FV but a Sharp Shooter Supply stock is on the way. It's been on the way for 11 months but apparently it has actually shipped. I can't wait to bolt that bad boy on. Looks like a comparible match to my HS precision stocks. Some people like this blactical look. I owned an SR-22 for a month, got it out of my system though. Most inaccurate rifle I've ever owned.

I do like this type of grip, I'm looking for ideas to build a MK2 and this gives all kinds of ideas. There's a guy on Rimfire Central that builds all kinds of different MK2's but the expense of the changes aren't worth it IMHO. I'd really like to have a grip with a palm swell like that though.....

I have considered building a tube gun chassis for the Mk.II, even talked to Jerry at Mystic Precision about it some. I like the idea and the ability to really customize the ergonomics to suit anyone with AR parts, but have not had any time to do more than the preliminary sketching and modeling I got to in the first gasp of enthusiasm.

I am pretty sure all/most tubegun shops have rimfire option too. Worth to check Eliseo's at the very least, I have 6mm BR rifle in his stock and was actually thinking about putting together a rimfire space gun. I absolutely love the ergonomics of aluminiuim chassis, wooden boomsticks are archaic things of the past.
