Am I getting a authentic Russian tokarev tt-33/HELP!

I am buying a russian tokarev but where I am buying it from the pic they have on there web site shows a tokarev with smaller slide serrations I thought a russian tt-33 all have the larger slide serrations I have spent some time searching the web and can not really be sure. Was there a russian model with the smaller slide serrations or is it chinese? Help!

During WW2 there were oval cuts vertically with finer cuts. After the war I believe they changed to all finer groves as they had the time to put into manufacturing the gun. During war the arsenal build fast, so what is quick and easy design wise wins out.

Fenceline nailed it. Mines a 1952 manufacture, and has the smaller slide serrations. I believe it's generally accepted that the post war manufactured tt-33s are of better overall quality.

I have a 1948, and a 1949, both have fine serrations, and shoot like the dickens!

I just bought a tt-33 and the slide is 1939, the frame is 1945 and the 4 digit number etched on the barrel is the registration number. The barrel is the easiest thing to replace (about $95.00) and if the firearm ever went missing and a new barrel was installed no one would ever know where it came from. I call the gun "My little Russian b@stard!"
