Am I getting into Glocks?

I was in the negative camp but as I had more pistols I thought I needed to understand the glock phenomenon so I got a 17. It's fine, no more accurate or reliable than my M&P 9 and certainly not as nice to hold. The glock is functional and understated, I'll hang onto it and enjoy using it but it didn't bring anything to the table that the M&P had already represented. I realise that glock came first as a polymer but I owned the M&P first as an owner. The Hogue grip really helps the glock ergos for me.

I actually find holding Glock gen 4 is better than the M&P. The Glock Gen 4 grip feels more secure and firm but yes most ppl agree with you M&P feels better in their hands. M&P is a fine gun, but to me it's not quite up to par with the Glocks in overall quality.

Glocks are no frills, hands down, the ultimate work horse, of the combat handgun world ... when you have to have a hand gun that out absolutely work every time choose Glock....
But until I can legaly carry one for protection. I just prefer the M&P line and Walther for my plastic fantastics.
you will still most likely enjoy shooting yur new Glock. It just got kinda boring for me, being that its so simplistic .
Some find that , that's the beauty in it.
I would agree with that .
For my intended purpose of hand gunning , I just want more that just a slab of steel and polemer with just one purpose ( reliably launching bullies ) .
I demand a bit more style and class ....
still though I do miss my Gen 2 9mm . and if I were ever to get a pistol in 10 mm it would be a glock because I Believe in its strength and durability...

I walked away from Glocks for a while - but always had this same thought at the back of my mind.

It's pretty hard not to have at least one Glock - as the ultimate 'last resort' option in a SHTF scenario.

I used to think the P226 was my favorite handgun. I had one and a G17 for a while. I sold the G17 and kept the sig. Yet, here I am now, not a year after selling the G17, with a G17L and no Sig! Who woulda thunk it.

I have always liked the look of SIG's but am reminded why I don't like them everytime I shoot/handle one.

Fat, funky ergos, top heavy, pricey, slide release (stop) in the wrong place...

Yep yep. Don't forget the DA/SA trigger that has a horrible reset(the new SRT is nice I will admit) and two distinct trigger pulls.

Glocks have a certain feel to them, a 'solidness'. It is efficiency and minimalism at its best.

I LOVE mine :)

I still am a "Metal guy", but I have a 26 and a 30 that I love. They are great shooters and have never ever FTF.
And they do have a certain look that grows on ya!
