Am I missing something here? Ipsc production list

Why are they allowing grand power xtrim and ppq match pistols in production class when they clearly have slide ports which are normally not allowed?

Did i miss something while skimming through the rules?

Also, max 15 rnd cap in production, is this new? I dont recall this in the older version of the rules?

I have no idea why "they" do anything however I think 15 rounds for Production has always been the case for IPSC. Of course Canada is 10, and also the USPSA Production capacity, possibly because of magazine limits during the AWB and continuing in certain states.

Every production pistol listed has been approved by IPSC. There are rules about modifying a production pistol. Don't confuse the 2.

So basicly they are allowing ported slides if thats how it came from factory and not modified after...and falls into the rest of their criteria..

Doesn't matter what it has. If it's on the list and unmodified you can shoot it in production.

Slide ports from the factory are good. Barrel ports are not allowed under any circumstances in production.

The slide is not ported it's simply slide weight reduction. Porting of a slide is only done if the barrel is also ported to direct gases a certain way.
