Am I nuts thinking this would look cool on an AR build I'm planning next ? Would it devalue an AR?

its all about personal taste... I would think it certainly would be more difficult to sell though.... tan and black are the safest bets..

You're not crazy. Much like engravings this will personalize it to your taste. If i were do to something similar to a firearm resale value wouldn't truly be on my mind.

That would look pretty cool. I already own a Weatherby 338 Win Mag that came factory in Reaper Camo. I think it looks pretty cool. Weatherby does it to there shotguns too.

Oh she already shoots. She's been ticked at me ever since I sold her Sig Mosquito. Guess I better buy her a new .22 pistol.

I think that's brilliant, and rifles should be more varied than black, tan, or wood.

I voted wrong but I think the color and the pattern look cool and would make it stand out. When you take it out to the range people will say "hey that's neat, where did you get it?"

I like it. Things like that make guns seem more about having fun and I think that encourages more people to try shooting.
