Ambi mag release

Maybe a silly question but what's the point to getting a new/aftermarket ambi mag release? I assume most ARs already have the two release spots. Please full me in. Thanks!!

Just the one mag button on ARs,if you're right handed not much need for ambi one,I'am left handed and get along with out one just fine. now a bolt hold open would be handy if you're right or left handed.

Sometimes it's easier to reach the lefty mag release with your left thumb.
