Ambidextrous safety/selector levers...

I have the stock ambi selector on my da556 norc m4. I find it really helpful since I have stumpy fingers. To switch from safe to semi when I'm bringing the rifle up I use my thumb. Going back to safe on the way down I use my trigger finger. Helps to prevent a nd as well so I don't flag my foot and shoot my toe off. Especially important if you're running a pdw length barrel since you could sweep bits that are more important than your toes! (I know you should never be flagging anywhere including your feet but realistically it does happen from time to time)

Tried an ambi and hated it, gets in the way of my trigger finger.... DD make a longer single safety if you have no thumbs

I like the BADASS units because you decide the length of lever on either side. I've got the shorter lever on the thumb side and the longer flat lever on the trigger finger side.

I've got the Noveske ambi STS, other than the edges being a little sharp I really like it, I always like Magpul quality/price anyway, that thing is no exception.

Ok, so I'm liking the BAD ASS more and more. Sorry for this next kinda dumb ass question, but what is the benefit of having the different sized lever on the right side of the receiver, for example, a standard lever on the left, and then a short on the right?

And let's say you wanna go with a different setup, can you get just the levers on their own, or do you have to get a whole selector kit to change your configuration?

A short lever on the right (for right-handed shooters) means the safety won't interfere with your trigger finger.

I have a Norc M4gery and I adjusted the right side safety lever so that when the rifle is ready to fire, the right side lever points UP instead of down. It took me about 30 seconds and all I needed was a flat-blade screwdriver.

I don't know if you need to replace the entire selector group if you just want to change to a short lever, though.
