Has anyone had any experience shooting with Pioneer powder. The ads claim no fouling and thousands of shots between cleanings, but I'd like to know how the powder performs. Right now I,m shooting 777 with pretty good results,but a non corrosive powder is kind of intriguing.

it is intriuging. it is definately cleaner because it has no sulphur or so i'm told. i'm no muzzle loader expert, but i took mine out the other day and put a swab through it and all i got was last dec.'s little bit of trditions cleaner. i've heard that the square sticks shave off a little bit when you put them down the muzzle and that shows up in chronographed velocity. maybe, but that doe i shot last dec. at 75 yds. didn't seem to notice. i like it better than traditional black powder.

A little late on this, sorry. I have only put 80 sabot rounds downfield with a .50 cal Thompson triumph, The rifle was cleaned really well as per APP directions, made sure to be clean of grease and solvent before priming with a single stick of Shockey Gold, There was no need for cleaning during the day to shoot, but I did find it easier to start the sabot down the barrel about every 20th shot or so if I ran a brush a couple inches into the barrel, as I said, this was just to make the seating easier, wasn't critical or even needed. I liked the Shockey compressed charges but will have to wait to get the rifle back before I try the APP pre-measured loads.
I use both(T7&APP) and I like both!!!! App is real clean.....BUT I use the granular powder and it works great and cleans up slick but don't use the "sticks".....I tried the sticks but found them to be inconsistent due to how they are shaped(edges shave off at the muzzle because your putting a tapered square piece into a round hole) and also how they are packaged..since they package it loose with buffering material to prevent excessive friction during shipping ( but they still bounce around resulting in small amounts wearing off........you'll find the evidence at the bottom of the bottle). Everybody has differing opinions but if you find something that works for you....then go for it!! The only" complaint" I have with the T7 is the crust ring that forms where the sabot seats to the powder charge after 1-2 shots(they say if you use the Remington Cleanbore 209's for muzzleloading it eliminates that but I personally never tried it.....I use the same 209's that I reload my skeet loads with). Having said that I only use 1 shot....2 shots max. when hunting before swabbing the barrel anyway. I said "complaint" very loosely as I think Hodgdon makes a superior product and it also cleans up excellent!!!
