Ameriglo or no?

I prefer aftermarket sights to the stock Glock sights, Ameriglo are one option. I prefer the Warren Tactical Sevigny sights myself, but Dawson Precision and Vogel are also excellent sights and much less than $140, Robert Vogel just did a course at our club and was selling his sights for $70 US, fantastic deal!

for years i always shot stock sights, never saw a reason to upgrade.
then a couple months ago i upgraded my new Glock to Ameriglow Agent sights..... OMG!
its a whole new world of possibilities!

totally love them, so much easier to acquire.
ive since swapped out a couple other pistols and have some more sights on order (not ameriglow)

I have a set of Ameriglo DeFoor sights on hand waiting for my Glock 48 to come in, all steel and plain black with no tritium. I have given the front a white base coat with Saturn Red as the final and it literally jumps out. I need something super bright up front as I have some serious vision issues with my right eye and need contrast. The rear notch is a little wider than the norm to so you get lots of light around the front.

I'd say just about anything is better than the stock sights, but it doesn't have to be Ameriglo. There are a ton of great sights out there, but you'll also have to consider install. Though you can do it yourself, that comes with a host of potential cosmetic issues. Otherwise you pay. And on top of $100+ sights, you can really get up there.

As an example, a new set of Dawson Fibre Optic sights are like $140 to your door. A Smith will probably charge you $100. That's a pricy tune to play.

So, if you're not super specific about your sight setup, yes, they're worth it. Ha
