Ammo cans princess auto

I can get truck loads of ammo cans in, I'm just sure there is a mail order market for them. I would just use them as the "box" while shipping but they charge extra for inboxes items

American forces must use ten thousand of them a day in all the conflicts there starting or participating in right now. I dont doubt there easy and plentiful to find.

I doubt any of the cans that go overseas are shipped back. They are likely dumped as garbage/litter where they are used. A local shop had a good source, likely from a nearby base and was selling them for $9-10 each cash in 2009-2010.

A lot of the ones I've seen in recent years have sand in them....

What I don't get is why they don't re-use them?

Probably not worth it for them. The military gets alot of these made for a wholesale price. The risk of having ammo or supplies get wet from a dinged up can with an old seal is not worth the risk vs cost. Just because the can may appear to be in good condition, that does not guarantee that it is.

I feel pretty sure that military contracts have a role to play as well.

By the way, for anyone interested, there were two or three 40mm cans at the Tent city when I stopped by today.

I have no use for that size right now, as I have a bunch, so they are still up for grabs.

If anybody has a lead on some 60mm cans, that would be appreciated. I have a few k 30-06 coming in soon and need a spot to store it.

The cans are sent back from overseas. And something shady is going on if a base is selling them to the general public , this is not allowed.
