Ammo identification help

Does any one know what this ammo is?

looks like mg3 ammo 308 . i believe the german mg3 machinegun is the 308 version of the mg42

Found a full belt comming up at auction and was curious about what it was and a possible value.

Without a side view it's hard to tell if it's .308 or 7.92. A good pic of the headstamp would really help here to ID the maker and caliber. A guess is only a guess with that pic.

Way to long for 308, I would guess it’s 8mm Mauser, especially given the belt it’s in

7.9x57mm. Too long and too tapered to be 7.62

agreed too long, and long tapered cases, shoulder angle looks off, so 8mm not 308/7.62x51

Headstamp would make it way easier.

Headstamp looks like FNM, so Portuguese manufacture, green primer annulus indicates 197.5 lead core.
What did it go for, per round?
