AMMO in NS

I'll second what RobertMcC just said, I buy all my .223 from JD's and you can get deals on crates but I'd call ahead. 852-2551

Last time I was there, he had at least one crate of .223 62gr American Eagle.

Been a while since I was last there. Do you know what the going rate is for a box vs the crate deal? Has he brought in any 9mm? (wasn't carrying any when I was last there).

Yah, he's got a lot of boxes of 9mm in the showcase along with some boxes behind the counter, pretty sure.

i shoot a lot of 9mm and 223 so i reload my own as it is hard to pick up any amount of the stuff in the southern end of n.s.

if you are buying in bulk, (ie: cases of ammo, not boxes), than I would suggest either asking Sean at Freedom ventures, as he sells Wolfs ammunition, or,
You could also try Combat Masters ammunition, which is sold by Canadian BDX. The cost of shipping may not be as bad as you would think if you order in bulk. I know a fairly large order came in to NS recently.

A.E. 223 55 gr at 425 plus tax/1000 adn 9mm 27.50 a box of 50 kinda steep

Hillbilly, I'd like to know where you get your prices from. I bought 1000 rounds of American Eagle 124gr 9mm FMJ for $240 +tax which boiled down to $12 a box because I bought a case. Retail per box is $14

I also buy American Eagle .223 62gr FMJ for $7 a box.

This is from JD's in Prospect.

JD is the one who gave me those prices 425 fro a 1000/rds AE 55 gr the 9mm was a store on the old sackville road.

I know that the 55gr .223 is hollow point, more expensive then the 62gr FMJ.

As for the 9mm on Old Sackville Road, I have no idea who the dealer is out there but his prices are insane. Unless he was quoting you on Federal HydraShok JHP 9mm rounds, he's out to lunch. Like I stated earlier, $240 for 1000 rounds of American Eagle 124gr FMJ.

Here is a quote that I was given from Atlantic Police Supply. They are on 99 Rocky Lake Drive in Bedford. And yes they will sell to anyone with a firearms licence. Not the cheapest around for 9mm but at least in the ball park. Hope that this helps someone.

In regard to the .223 rounds, these are very difficult to get for us right now. Winchester has committed most of their resources to the US Military. In fact they will not have any .223 FMJ until at least fall of 2007.

The soft point you have requested now only comes in cases of 1000. ( our website is currently being updated) cost per 1000 is 582.74. Again this could be long delivery. 90-120 days.

The 9MM Winclean 115 gr. now comes only in cases of 500, cost per case is 124.25, delivery is 60-90 days. We do stock the 147 gr. and it is the same price.

Thanks

buy some reloaded ammunition from Sean at Freedom Ventures. Not sure what the price is on the 9mm, but more than likely better than $240 + taxes per 1000.
