I recently acquired a reasonable quantity of 7.62 for my m305.
About 70% is labelled DA 65 and the balance IVI 71. Am I right to assume (I know, don't assume anything) that the first is Dominion Arsenals circa 1965? If so, what's the IVI?

IVI is what Dominion Arsenals became after being privatized in 1967; "Industries Valcartier Incorporated". They sold plenty of commercial ammuntion under the "Imperial" trade name, as well as producing military small arms stuff, and were bought out by SNC Lavelin in 1980.

You'll find the DA is better ammo too. The IVI is ok, but not as accurate as the DA stuff was. Your's was made in 1971.
