Spent yesterday afternoon on the range testing ammo with my CZ 455

CCI Standard Vel, Aguilla Sub Sonic, Sellier and Bellot SB, ELEY Club, Target and Match:

All were fired at 30m (the main range was too busy with 500 yards shooters), plus I am trying to figure out which will work best when i try the 50 yards challenge and I am new to this .22Lr accuracy shooting. For every brand I did a five round group on another target and then fired the five groups.

Red square are outliers I discarded (I assumed shooter error in two cases and the third i have no clue if that was a five or two round group, I remember firing 5 rounds, but the hole is too neat, maybe I did put five rounds through the same two hole, if I did (wow). Yellow is to indicate when I am close to the 1/2 inch mark and green is below 1/2 inch. Since my measuring is not the most accurate, i rounded the size of the hole to 5.6mm (in any case this is to determine which shoots best not a formal entry). For the challenge, I will use a digital caliper.

Some fun info comes out,

ELEY (Remington) Target is shooting the best.
Sellier is the most consistent (smallest range between largest and smallest group).
The three ELEY posted sub 1/2 inch average.

My best target:

I have kept a log of every time I did this type of shooting and the data is showing me that I need more practice since I have only done this 28 times since I purchased my CZ. But good ammo appears to help. My average group for the 28 times is 17.22mm and this last day (all 6 brands) average was 11.83mm (better ammo and more shooting helps)

I still have to test CCI Sub and want to give SK Flatnose and SK Flatnose Match as well as some, Lapua Center X a try. I dont think I will try ELEY TENEX, LAPUA Midas + etc since those are above $20 a box of 50. At that price I might as well get a center fire .223/5.56mm and start reloading. The Elay Match were close to $20 and maybe I will give them another shot but the Targets did fine so for now it would be ELEY Target.

Thanks for the post and the pics. Where did you get that circle template? It's a good idea for measuring groups.
