Ammo Restrictions

Do you need a restricted PAL to purchase any ammo such as .380 or .38 spl/.357 mag? If so which calibers are restrictrd? Thanks

Lots of rifles take "pistol" ammo...

I've heard of guys being refused sale of pistol ammo with a standard PAL (ie. only non-restricted) but in that case the clerk was an idiot.

As Merllin said, you only need a standard PAL to buy ammo, no restrictions on the type you can purchase.

Incorrect. Firearms chambered in the above are but the ammo itself is not prohib.
