Am I the only person or are there others that have absolutely no problems using 22LR Thunderbolts in my lower cost semi-auto's.

People say they're crap, but my boy and I fired off 300 rounds at the pits this weekend in his Mossy tactical and in my Marlin 60 without one single FTF, FTE or any other jam.

Even when firing them off as fast as you can pull the triggers.

I've had "better" rimfire ammo that can give me the odd issue but these seem to work great. A little dirty, but great.

I have actually had good cycling with thunderbolts, in general...even my fussy eaters can run them.

I steer clear of them because they are powerfully filthy, and the only ammo I've cycled that the case tore apart on. I have only experienced ripped up cases a few times, in all instances it was thunderbolt ammo.

I have used t-bolts a fair amount with no issues. I recently shot them in my Anshutz target rifle and was pleased with the accuracy and consistency.

What makes one cartridge 'dirtier' than others? Type of powder?
