Any insight on the AMMO Shortage?

Production is speeding up in the USA.

Canada production unchanged?

Government stockpiles are low needing replenishment.

Demand very high due to Ukraine.

Materials for making gunpowder is very low.

Any insight from dealers on delays and stock being unavailable at distribution/ long backorder?

There has not been a shortage since the lockdown. Who ever your source was, you need a more reliable one.
Most my local stores and frequented online retailers have had almost every common item in stock, maybe not for the price i would like, but in stock.

Various Euro-ammo is short due to conflicts and in the USA rimfire has an increased popularity so 'some' stock is lower than 3-4 years ago. Canada is on the 'end' of a long supply chain from USA or Euro since there is very little ammo made here. As has been said, most stores have a fairly good stock level. A lot depends on what you're looking for AND where you're looking. Maybe you need to shop around ?

Can someone point me in the direction of this bounty. Where are the velocitors, the Stingers, and the A22 for that matter. I located A22s at two separate shops. One has a bulk pack of 200 for a hundred dollars plus shipping, and the other has a number of boxes at $145 plus shipping for the bulk packs.
So, if you can even find the above products the prices are what I would call unobtainium. I would not call what is available, a bounty.

I saw a box of 500 thunderbolts for 89.99 at my local CT. Ammo is available but overpriced.

Buy it cheap, stack it deep. I’m glad I listened to that one back then

I just bought a whole bunch of Stingers from Al Flaherty's. Good price, and 10% off if buying in bulk. Looks like they still have about 15,000 rnds in stock.

Quigly - Tenda has Stingers and a good bit of WMR. Looking for 'one flavour' makes shopping a limiting endeavour.

Stingers are secondary to my needs. As well, the only limiting factor as far as ammo is concerned is what ammo my rifles and less so my handguns will shoot accurately. For the WMR it's the CCI A22 ammo, and for the Ruger it's the velocitors. Both of which are hard to come by, right now.

It is gonna get bad as your friendly neighborhood oligarch bot one of the main manufacturers of ammo for 1.91 mill usd (Vista Outdoor)
