Oh yes .....OH HELL YES !

Ok Kate - you are now officially my new best friend.

You said you where working on it, and you've put up with my many hundreds of "is it here yet?" emails - and finally yesterday a Canpar truck pulled up and unloaded an early Christmas present (s)!

FEDERAL LAKE CITY 5.56 X 45 GREEN TIP

Yep, this is the real thing guys - in 1K boxes, head stamped LC 14 and the NATO Cross.

How it arrived:

Two 1K boxes inside the Master Box

There they are (sigh ......)

The next two photos are just 'ammo' #### :dancingbanana:

Kate, all joking aside - your customer service, honesty, and willingness to work out issues (with your suppliers) is ABSOLUTELY SECOND TO NONE.

You have a loyal customer here (and likely many across Canada) - and I will be purchasing from you in the future!

Abby

Hummm - I see Kate only has 7 cases left.

This is gonna be tough - must ..... close ..... this ..... thread .... and go back to the 'girls with guns' thread ....

Nope, no will power at all - where is my credit card?!!

Why does the brass look like its been reloaded or several times fired ?
Either way brass looks like crap how come? Or is it just the photos?

Not familiar with that term maybe because I don't reload is this an advantage does it make the brass better quality or just harder to resize when one wants to reload?

We're almost out of these cases of XM855 - if anyone wants some and misses out, we will be getting in ammo cans of 420 rds stripper clipped. We also have XM193 (Lake City 5.56 55gr) on order.

Awsome. How much will the 420 rd cans be?

The 1000 rd cases might not be around for a while, and the list price for them has shot up since we ordered these last year. The ammo cans of 420 stripper clipped look like they will be a little over $300, but we'll confirm when we get them in.

Soo good!

My only problem with buying green tips is I sometimes feel bad shooting them! Ammo like that is supposed to be treasured, and I can't bear to just plink with it.

... and it's gone! We're now out of stock on the 1000 rd cases of Lake City 5.56 62gr. When we get them in again, they will be a fair bit more expensive. We will be getting in the ammo cans, however - so PM me if you'd like to be on the list!

Is this ammunition superior to mid range offerings like PMC Bronze or American Eagle or is it more of a nostalgic demand because it's actual military issue? From what I've read the XM855 is steel core and the XM193 is lead core?

Try a box of 5.56 50gr frangible ammo from Lake City!

I'm going to try mine this weekend!

I think you'll find it's both. People like buying it because its proper 5.56mm stuff that sees use overseas. There are lots of people who will say both good and bad things about XM855's performance in Afghanistan (just ask Greentips the user!) but I generally like that its a quality round in a heavier grain that most off-the-shelf .223 is.
