Ammo wont load in chamber

I have a Reck .22 LR single action revolver that I obtained recently from an uncle of mine. I was at the range the other day and went to use it for the first time. For some reason my 22 ammo would not fit into any of the 6 chambers . I noticed that there was a small semi circle that appears as if stamped on the inside of each chamber. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it but I can not figure out why the ammo wont fit. The gun is 100 percent a .22 LR as it is stamped on the side as well as the ammo I am using. Here is a photo of the cylinder, any help would be appreciated.

Clean it, he was likely using shorts which left a carbon ring.
