Ammunition compatibility (Kar98K mauser)

Hi everyone,
I have been looking into it but can't seem to get a definitive answer.

Nato ammunition is hard to come by yes, so if I consider purchasing some WWII kar98 Ks, what kimd of ammo can they take that is available in Canada/Quebec?

Im confused to what Nato has to do with K98K? 8x57 never was NATO.

Unless you were looking at 762 Nato converted Isreali mausers?

I've seen 8x57 commercial from Privi Partisan and Sellier & Bellot. Easier to find than surplus!

Both Prvi Partizan and Sellier & Bellot make 8mm FMJ ammo. Not be cheap but the brass is reloadable.

Haha! Yes Insee how it may sound. Got a couple of buddies who want a K98 also so yeah, not all for me.
