I am looking for rifle ammunition for a drilling I have I need 9.3x72D I have found 9.3x72R but not D. R will not fit I am wondering if anyone has seen or heard or 9.3x72D

i dont think there is a D only 9.3x74r if its different then that round your going to have to wildcat something up

reloading is about your only option

I've never heard of the "D" version, just the 9.3X72R, an old Sauer round using black powder and the forerunner to the 9.3X74R, don't even know where you could get brass, maybe Buffalo Arms.

Yeah, 9.3x72 Drilling Patronen Lg. (long)

Read this:

h ttp://www.riflemagazine.com/magazine/PDF/hl114partial.pdf

Maybe get someone to import RWS loaded ammo, purchase a limited run RCBS die and reload your own fired casings? ($$$!!!)

Edit: ^This is probably your only option, unless you get extremely lucky and somehow find an ex-patriot German or Austrian with a drawer full of unwanted 9.3x72R. Unless I read thier list incorrectly, RCBS does not even make a conversion die to make this brass from another cartridge friend. If I were you, I'd post a
"want to buy list" for this at the nearest Swiss rifle club.

A big maybe............but I'm at a loss to advise you further.

Tradex has Sellior Bellot in 9.3x72R for $70.00 per 20. Never heard of it in "D".

It is not so very rare. Like many Euro calibers - it can be easier to get than anything out of the States these days.
