So i just got my PAL and have a couple of .22s that i would like to register. To the very best of my knowledge either of them has been registered before. They where my grandfathers. No one in my family has ever had any interest in using them so they have been in a closet for 20 years. I know about the amnesty and believe i fall into its guidelines. Is there any advice you can give me when i register them. Also one is a Marlin model 25 .22 pump action. It does not apear to have any serial number on it. I think its pretty old. Is this going to be a problem? Any help would be very appreciated!

You just have to call the CFC they'll ask some questions about the firearm (Barrel length etc) and get you to bring it to a verifier, you can also do it online. Some firearms were produced before serial numbers, I have two old Cooey's that don't have one, the CFC just sent me a sticker with a serial number and I stuck it on the guns.

My advice is that you go to a local gun club and ask them whom to approach about verifying your rifles. They will know the answers to your questions or know where to direct you for the answers you need.
