Amyone Know If The Semi-Auto MP-40's From Marstar Has Been Deemed Prohibited By RCMP?

Gentlemen
I had a call from a gentleman that owns one of the Semi-auto MP-40's that came out of Marstar.

He heard the RCMP has decided they are prohibited, but hasn't heard if it has been added to another class like 12-5.

If they are prohibited will he have to sell it to someone in the proper class, or turn it in?

He said he has a considerable investment in it and wanted to know if the RCMP would reimburse him for the gun?

if he already owned the gun before it was prohibited, does that technically mean he's now grandfathered in and can now apply for his prohib license? Man that would be awesome!
