an afordable optic for ar-15?

I have the bushnell 1x32. its good, but nothing great. I wouldn't spend $210 on it though. (got mine on sale)

Vortex also makes some pretty good tactical scopes. id check them out also.

The strikefire is a nice scope and Vortex has a great warranty. The problem is that I'm now on my 3rd unit in less than a year. The first one started flickering on and off with every shot. It go so bad that would flicker when dryfiring my CZ 858. The second one lasted about 500 rounds and then formed some really strange artifacts in the lens (a bright red halo on the outside of the sight picture).

Maybe it's just bad luck, but I have not been impressed with the durability of the strikefire. I do have to say, however, that Vortex's customer service is phenomenal. They replaced the product twice with no questions asked. Turn around time was also awesome both times (<1 week).

When I was last in the US there were some Aimpoints on the firing line that were showing so much wear they looked silver. One had been used in OIF and two later tours and the user had no intention of giving it up.

im really impressed with vortex stuff.. i have a SPARC and wow its the best deal in a red dot out there.. i heard there scopes are really good too they have a nice 4x for the AR

I finally bought a strikeforce from one shot tactical. I tried it today for the first time. I set it at 50 yards. Very happy. I think i made a good choice for the price. The 2x magnifier, should i let it on the scope?
