Hi,

I just received my practice rifle (with accutrigger) and I'd like to adjust the trigger weight so it's the same as my "competition" one. So how do I measure it ?
Is there a real point of doing that ?

Thanks

Go buy a trigger pull scale. Looks just like a fish scale, but in lower weights. RCBS makes one. You really should be practicing with the rifle and ammo you shoot in competition though.

A straightened coat hanger with a 90 degree hook on one end for the trigger and a fishing wieght in the other. Add washers or any improvised weights until your target rifle trigger releases, then use the same weight to adjust your Savage.

Put your rifle on it's butt with the barrel pointing up,attach a piece of coat hanger with a baggy and known weights..fill 'er up with coins until it releases.
Add up the coat hanger, baggy, common and coin weight,
Bingo bango,cheapy trigger pull scale

Common coin weights:

Dime: 1.77 grams
Penny: 3.14 grams
nickle: 3.95 grams
quarter:4.47 grams
loonie: 6.99 grams
twoonie:7.34 grams
bill: 1.02 grams
