An expensive visit

My sister and her boyfriend (in Montreal) told me that they're interested in trying out one of the clay sports. Since I'm visiting them this week-end, I thought I'd bring a couple of shotguns, a couple of flats, and take them out to a nearby range to introduce them to my new favorite hobby.

The closest place for them would be the Montreal Skeet Club (http://www.losttarget.com/montreal.html). I phoned the club this morning to inquire about their visitors policy and was floored: $50 per person per day, plus $16 per round, use your own ammo.

Is it just me or is that a bit steep!!! Given these prices, I get the feeling they don't really want visitors.

Needless to say the guns stay at home, and I'm bringing a couple of bottles of wine instead. I'll take them to MY club the next time they visit here.

There was another club further away in Valleyfield, but it just closed for the season.

Is this a unique experience or is it the same at other clubs?

Its freekin Kuebec . What the hell do you expect. That is so far out of line its rediculous. We're a small club but you can come and shoot on our trap night for the cost of the round $4.00 plus ammo. Airfare may cost you abit to gete here but you are more than welcome.

X 2 for the Lloydminster Gun Club.

And if you are feeling rich, you can even buy a yearly membership. It's $10.

Three Pat traps with Canterbury releases and a skeet field.

$50 per day and $64/hundred is complete bull5hit!!!!! I hope they give you a kiss on the cheek after raping you.:bangHead::bangHead:

Where in Mtl. There are other clubs just off the Island.

Click on the link in my original post and you'll get to get their website, they are located in Les Cedres. The other nearest club is the Club de Tir de Valleyfield http://pages.infinit.net/valley/ in Valleyfield but their site says they closed for the season on Sept. 16th.

I couldn't find anything else within reasonable driving distance.

PM me and I will take you to a real private club. It will only cost $15 for non-member guests. It is 30 minutes from downtown. I will take you there this Saturday. We have still one a fully automated Sporting and a 8 trap FITASC Parcour as well as Olympic and regular skeet. If you are interested, we can hunt some pheasants over my dog Oban.

Regards,
Henry;)
