An old ww. Greener 10g and a Armi 12g side by side

Howdy folks,
I came into possession of these older side by sides through an estate. Trying to figure out how much they're worth?

First is an old English side lock WW. Greener 10 gauge double barrel. It has a damascus barrel that is brown from rust. The action is tight.The bore is dark. I haven't cleaned it and won't dare fire it.




Second is a functioning Armi 12 gauge(unknown model) side by side. I'll try shooting it tomorrow. Its shows some rust and the bore is shinny. action is tight.






I would appreciate any comments and values about these shotguns. Thanks

About $200.00 give or take for the Greener as a wall hanger unless you can find someone that wants some parts. The other SxS isn't worth much more, $350.00 give or take. For any old SxS to be worth anything, they have to be in the nicest, original condition as one can find.
 
Really? That low huh. Suppose I'll be hanging it on my wall then. I'll try the Amri out tomorrow and see if it's a keeper.
Thanks for your reply. I've seen a site with them going between 3-10 000 bucks for a pristine unit of course.

Often people have the impression that because a gun is old it must be worth something. A lot of factors go into value though. As mentioned, condition is critical. Regarding your Greener, it is a damascus barreled gun that many people will not shoot even if it was in nice condition. However, your Greener is in quite poor condition and holds no collector status. Restoring these old guns costs a fortune . Usually, the purchase price is the lowest cost factor of the gun if it is one that needs restoration. If the barrels are bad then you have nothing. Also, the market in Canada is quite small for these old guns, especially if they are in well used/abused condition.
Your other gun is not as rough but it does have some exterior issues and it is not a top line gun.
 
Clean them up carefully and see what you can make of them.

DRY FINE Steel Wool for the rust, wipe off the dust and THEN oil. MOST of that rust will disappear, especially on the Italian gun.

I like that beat-up old Greener. It would look nice with my Scott 11-bore: sort of a "little brother" (the Scott is a monster).
