Hey guys-question for the more knowledgable/experienced... Periodically, I'm looking for scopes with decent glass (ideally Japanese), AO, variable power and a fine reticle. They check all the boxes for most of my shooting needs, 22LR plinking/gophering....or could be moved-up as an improvement to one of my varmint rifles. Anyhow, seems that when I do go into the EE with $ ready to spend, I see that I missed scopes that I wished I'd seen before they sold. Most recently, Tasco/Weaver. Now, I know I could check every day...but just when I think I have a sense of what those two manufactured, I discover (for instance) a target version of the Tasco...and a Weaver I didn't know existed. Usually older scopes, made before I was seriously into shooting, so very much a "blind spot" in terms of product knowledge. A few years ago, I came across a Weaver V-16 with a dot reticle and scooped it up, but I'm referring to older/glossy scopes.

Fine reticle with 1/8" adjustments= :) ....but I'm not optimistic.

Anyhow, curious to know if anyone else seeks these more affordable, but very decent scopes out...and if there is a particular make/model you might recommend. Photos welcome!

Thanks
