an unusual first handgun

I bought a 629 for my first handgun...Wheel guns are real guns and 44 says hello better than most..

enjoy

Nice choice, love the S&W Model 29's When I think revolver, they pop into my mind nice and shiny :D

I've fired off plenty of rifles and handguns, however, my first pistol was a CZ52 and my first rifle a Marlin 45-70 Guide Gun.

Life's too short not to have fun :D

nice gun.PC line is out of my reach right now or i wouldve bought any 44 from SWPC.

the recoil cant be that bad.i work with metal for living so i do have a strong grip and rough hands to take the recoil. i do not plan to sell this gun , ever. i love everything about it, the finishing the full lug and smooth cylinder.. just the way i like it.

meet smith, and wesson. this is my first handgun. i bought couple boxes of 180gr and 240 gr magnums to feed this bad boy. i cant wait to take it to the range this weekend

nice and definatly unusual. i dont think i have ever seen a full ribed unfluted drum model 29. cool indead. btw i love my full ribed unfluted drum 629

An unfluted 629 was my first handgun. Outside of a few 9mm out of a Beretta and some 357 when I was a kid, it was pretty much my first experience with a handgun.

Enjoy your new toy and pay no attention to the recoil sensitive "men" here.....;)

video of me shooting it. the kick wasnt that bad at all. i got a hold of it at the last 2 shots at the end of the video. my finger got cut by the sharp edge of the trigger at the end of the day after about 60-70 rounds of one handed shooting. shot couple boxes that day and i was out. i wish 44 rounds didnt cost 80 cents each!

Any heavier recoiling revolver with an 'edge' on the end of the trigger cuts my finger also. All the Smith triggers and hammers are surface hardened so much, a file will hardly cut on them.
Congrats on your choice, and your photography is superb.

MY first handgun was a 32auto browning surplus one from SIR mailorder for $80.00 as it was all I could afford had lots of fun with it .
Very nice first Gun enjoy
