Hey, folks.
As suggested above, I have a CIL/Anschutz .22 that shoots like a surgical tool. Because I'm cheap (and don't want to mount a modern scope on a rifle with 1970's aesthetics) I dug out a steel-tubed El Paso K4 I bought from a guy on EBay a few years ago, slapped her on using Millet rings, and we're off to the races.
This is going to be my boy's rifle. Those little 5 shot mags will load a lot faster than the tube-fed rifle we've been using. I don't want to frustrate him with parallax issues at ranges under 100 yards. I have a call in to Trace Scope repair in Calgary to see if the old mother can be tweaked to be parallax-free at 50 yards, which should be a good comprimise. If this isn't possible, how much of an issue will this be? At 25 yards, how much out-of-whack can we get with incorrect/inconsistent head positioning?
Cheers,
Dan
