As much I aggree with executing cold blooded murderes, I do have a serious problem with dead penalty, since the dead penalty has been proven impossible to be fair and honest.
To often innocent people get executed for crime they never committed, often, even in Canada, innocent people spend over twenty years in jail for murders somebody else did, and finally set free because the real murderer is finally found and convicted.
Most civilized societies has abolished the dead penalty because it, among others, is cruel to the innocent people who get cought up in it and have to pay the ultimate price for somebody elses crime.
The DNA test have freed many dead row inmates in the US, because it proved beyond doubt that they were innocent all the time, but would have, in due time been executed them, for a crime someone had else had committed.
