And now, a word on duplicated Lee Enfield stocks...

How do you install the handguard clip rivets ? Push the river through then hammer it until it holds the clip?

I used a nail setter for finishing nails and a hammer to round mine over. I used a piece of steel with a few layers of electrical tape as the base (solid to hold the rivets, tape to prevent marring them)

I need two of those slings? are they new production?

Mine are reproduction slings. I bought from a non-sponsor, so I won't post here. Lots of repro ones out there all for under $25 when I was looking before

A couple I restocked. Sourcing bits and the stock work was not an easy task

Butts were thankfully present. For the LEC I tried to use part of the original stock

Has anyone "weathered" their new stocks to make them look more original? Too my eye they don't look right in such a pristine state on an older rifle.

Have to disagree. Properly fitted new wood, such as Loo's walnut looks and feels like a brand new rifle. It's perfect, just like a new pair of underwear. It's hard to have a bad day if you're wearing brand new underwear or are holding a newly fitted Enfield.:xes

Cantom, that is very nice. From LE Parts and Militaria? Might have to decide to spend what they are asking to get one like that. I have a No4Mk1 action on which Jason spencer put a new old stock barrel (and I mean, NEW); that deserves to be bedded in a really nice and new forend.

Yes, this is them. Nice stuff. Spendy but good.

Last time I looked yes they have SMLE stuff.

Best bet...make up a big order of a lot of stuff, maybe split shipping between a few people.
