In an estate sale lot, I picked up 3 helmets. One is a Canadian Civil Defense helmet in very good condition, complete with the liner. The only flaw is a dent and some paint loss on the top. The other one is a very nice WWII Canadian Brodie helmet, all complete, stamped "C.L./C. 1941" with a number "37" below the stamp. This too is all complete, though the rubber is brittle, and in excellent condition. The third one is head-scratcher. It's a pith helmet style with a rosette on the top and a band with rosettes around the helmet above the brim. There is no liner and it has a label inside that is hard to make out but seems to read "Mastrioangelo - Boston". I wonder if it's military or something for a marching band or lodge of some sort. It feels like stiff cardboard and seems rather cheaply made. I have a question for my fellow gunnutz, in that what do you think these are worth?
