I bought a new Tango down advanced bipod last fall to try something different and finally got around to putting it on my new gopher rig..... just about to mount in and when I tried to extend the legs, one went now problem, and the other,...... SNAP, the button to extend it broke off inside and now its just floating around loose in the frame of the leg..... What a fragile POS...

Anyone else buy one of these fragile airsoft grade bipods....????? Did you have any issues, or did I just get a dud?

Its a Tango Down Advanced Combat Biopd from the shooting edge. Its supposed to be a firearm quality item, I just referenced it should be an airsoft item because of how much of a POS it turned out to be....

I have a ton of airsoft for the kids to play with,,, I would never use airsoft parts on a real firearm.....

This is just frustrating... I bought this thing over a year ago, dont have the package... hopefully the guys at the shooting edge come good for it. Its brand new, I had it on an XCR for a picture and saved it for the gopher rig I was putting together over the winter. It was the first time I ever put the legs down......

I bought a small Harris Bi pod back in the mid 80's...been on a dozen guns since...I still use it...not had a single problem with it..ever ...actually my daughter uses it sometimes now....well worth the money!
 
Dont worry.... I'm a believer...

I own two harris bipods, the one on my Sendero has been on there for over 10 years and it has been through hell..... I just wanted to try something new and it was dark earth. My whole rig is dark earth, rifle, scope, everything. So I spent over $250 on it with the taxes etc. Then it and it turns out to be an overpriced fragile steaming pile of S**T.

I have used versa's lots two. I actually like the function of the versa better, however, you just cant beat a Harris.

If they dont give me a refund, it will be a $250.00 mistake that I will not repeat.

Harris or Versa-pod all the way from now on.

My bi pod for my Savage came from China, $35 to my door. THe only problem is where it connects to the rife; it cannot get very tight but will work. If I wanted to, I could tinker with it and make it stronger but I dont mine a whole lot, I'm buying a front rest soon and a bi pod for my precision rifle will be a thing of the past :)
 
I've got a Harris on my .243 and a Parker Hale on my .308. When I bought the PH and laid it on the bench beside Pounder's $100 Versa-Pod and couldn't tell them apart I was a little choked! This thing was stupid expensive, but at least I had the satisfaction of knowing I was supporting the UKs economy and not China's.
 
Fyi.....

I called them today.... they are going to try and get another from TangoDown... if not, they are going to give me a Harris.

Good service from everyone involved.... I just hope we dont get good service from TangoDown and they wont replace it... then I get a Harris like I should have bought in the first place.

A year ago? Shooting Edge is under no obligation either legally or moraly to help you with that bud, they might but it will be out of the goodness of thier heart!! Best of luck!

Top marks for TSE.... what a quick turnaround.... and awesome communication.

I was really expexting this to take a long time, not because of TSE, but because of the fact that it was a stateside vendor. Got the box on Friday past.
