We will be holding our 2nd annual Joe Leger Memorial "NRA" 500m Service Rifle Match on the 7th of July at the Canadian Historical Arms Society's Genessee facility west of Edmonton Alberta.
Match begins with "sighters" at 11:00hrs
The course of fire is as follows:
200m Slow, Standing 10 rounds 1 min/shot
200m Rapid, Sitting from Standing 10 rounds 60 sec
300m Rapid, Prone from Standing 10 rounds 70 sec
500m Slow, Prone 10 rounds 1 min/shot
(When moving from standing to sitting or prone, bolt will be closed on an empty chamber, magazine attached. On the "Fire command, the competitor drops to the required position and "Charges" their rifle then proceeds to fire.)
Any military rifle from any country from any time period or reasonable facsimile thereof.
No artificial support, including no resting of magazines on the ground.
Slings are allowed and encouraged and must be attached both front and back. No single point slings.
Iron sights are the order of the day, if you wish to use an optic, the maximum power allowed for the match is 4 times magnification. If your optic can be adjusted down to 4 power, that is fine.
Optical shooters will be in their own division.
Match fee is $ 5.00, non CHAS members pay an additional $ 20.00 for a day pass.
