Anodizing?

Is it possible to get one of my pistols anodized or chromed or such? For example could I send my baby eagles parts to get annodized? so instead of sending it in and waiting 3 years or so for magnum research to do the "gold accent" kit ... just get it done locally? Or even get just the slide on my xd hard chromed? When I mean locally I mean within Canada, preferably Western Canada... preferably Alberta... or Edmonton...

anodizing

If you do a search for "anodizing" and "plating" and "plating kits" you might find some do-it-yourself options, if you were so inclined.

Parts - other than the frame or receiver - could likely be done in your local plating shop. Check yellow pages for "plating" and "hard chroming".

Armco might be able to help with nickel-plating.

do a google search on anodizing. anodizing can only be
done on aluminium or titanium.

I was considering doing a "do it my self" job - I'm not that great at that kind of stuff though... - i've heard from people where you can get it done locally and have gotten their paintball equipment done - however - i don't exactly want my pistol to not be able to fire
