Another AR Magazine Ruling...

Yes, I use Black Dogs in my conversion kit...no problems

Now...what do we do with the factory Chiappa mag?

Nothing... wait until the ruling is announced and gets some kind of official distribution.

Until the government starts notifying CFO's and the importer there really is no grounds for any action. Who knows what the reasons are behind the delay in making the notifications... or exactly what government department is responsible for this.

It seems to me that the longer they wait to make notifications and publicize their ruling the more they themselves becomes guilty of entrapment and create grounds for legal arguements if and when charges are ever laid against anyone. I am NOT a lawyer and don't pretend to be one... but I can't imagine the courts taking kindly to the government's actions here... anymore than the way they handled the S&W M&P-15 .22lr magazine ruling.

That's just my opinion.

But in this can, could the marking for S&W M&P-15-22lr RIFLE only be overtaken the ruling then? I recall back in earlier time hollowpoint for pistol were banned, and most importer get around by placing sticker says for rifle use only to get it in.

Simple solution - if you buy one of these, refuse the magazine, ask for a discount equal to the cost of a BD of equivalent capacity, alternatively, ask the seller to order you a BD mag and offer to trade him for the Chiappa mag straight across. Tell them why, do so nicely, they'll come to some accomodation.

I have heard the Questar started all these issues so that he can sell more Black Dog mags. Seems to have some friends at the RCMP Lab.

Really?
I heard that Questar is actually a front for the RCMP, and that all the firearms he imports get secret RFID chips that not only do satellite tracking ; but, the guns can all be disabled when the Mounties call a special number from their cell-phones!

Until a special virus is uploaded to the network that disables all these horrible technologies, we'll have to make-do with destroying the antenna. This won't diable the RFID chip, just drasticly reduce the range.

The antenna is masquerading as the front sight! Grind it off, or mash it flat with a hammer!

And don't wait too long, the guns also act as remote listening devices, even as you read this, your guns are recording all your conversations, bank information and credit scores!

AFTER you destroy the front sight (antenna), you could send me a couple of your Questar imported-guns, we're working on the "Liberty Virus" now, and more examples of the suspect guns gives us better material to work from.

Do these so-called handguns actually exist in Canada?

I have never seen either the Smith & Wesson or Chiappa version on Canadian soil. Never at at range, at a gun store, or even online.

If they aren't even available in Canada, why is this even an issue?

Now, what are Canadian gun owners going to do about this? Just roll over and take it like usual? When is that final straw going to be broken to get the FED UP III rally going? Never? Enough is enough, time to draw that line in the sand. If not this issue, then what?

I'm also caught up in this big-cap, clip/mag issue, as I have a S&W M+P 15-22. What I suggest is that owners of either of these guns, having a PAL, starting with an even number, simply refuse to cooperate with the RCMP. The publicity and attention you get from the general public will work wonders for our cause. Doing time is a small price to pay for the possibility that a change may take place, due to brave heroics of the even numbered PAL holders.
Thank-you, in advance, and good luck.

Just in case anyone missed it, Post #69 was sarcasm and not meant to be taken seriously. Sorry, forgot the little "sarcastic face" and I don't want an infraction because I have a weird sense of humor.

I, for one, never thought any less of Questar in regards to the S&W mag issues that have been mentioned. We're all in this together and it's nice that someone (Questar) is letting us know what the hell is going on when things are being changed behind closed doors.

THANKS AGAIN QUESTAR - YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

x2. Thanks again for the info Mark!

Regards,

i doubt it you will never see canadians stand up to government

Unfortunely, you are closer to the truth then you wish. The same was true in Australia back in 1996.

Both the Sale rally and the Melbourne State Lego Building rally both had some 250,000 people at each, they shud have had more, but all the Fudds stayed home because the gov't song was that it was only the evil black guns that were to be seized. We all know want the final out come was!!!

It's called the dealth of a 1000 cuts......................:sniper:

Not to hijack the thread, but in my (perhaps naive) opinion all this nonsense might actually end if we brought to the attention of Conservative MPs the fact, confirmed by the very organizations hired to enforce and monitor the Firearms Act - Justice Ministry, RCMP and Statistics Canada - that since enacting the FA and corresponding sections of CCC re magazine capacity limitations, no effort was ever made to monitor compliance levels and to find out what impact limitations had on violent crime in Canada.

That was the goal of the letter writing campaign that I started a few months ago in another forum.

I've made a point of researching this specific issue via FOI requests to all interested organizations and each of them did not find any data regarding magazine capacity as it applied to gun use in crime.

They don't know if crimes were deterred by blocked magazines or if criminals bothered to unblock previously blocked magazines. In other words they don't have an idea what percentage of crimes where guns were used was with compliant magazines and what percentage with magazines over capacity limit.

Similarly they don't know what impact on harm to the victim had the prohibition of handguns with 105mm barrels and shorter.

They don't know because they don't collect data. The unfounded assertions that were made in order to introduce the limitations obviously had nothing to do with reality, and it would be an embarrassment for the government to try collecting data disproving those assertions.

Test drive is over, time to return the car to the dealer, i.e. to scrap Firearms Act as violation of our rights based on unfounded assertions.
