I received my LTATT in the mail today and I just had a question about how they work. I don't own a restricted firearm yet, so there is no Certificate number on the paper, but when I do eventually purchase a restricted gun will it be covered even though the number isn't on the ATT?

Yes. The LATT is not specific to any particular restricted firearms.

Well to be perfectly technical it depends on the wording of your ATT. For example, mine says that it applies to all restricted firearms for which I possess the registration certificates. That means if I get a new restricted firearm, I can transport it under my existing ATT as soon as I have the registration certificate for it. Other people's specify an address, or firearms that are registered to them, or a list of specific firearms.

Your ATT might not be the same as ours, some animals are more equal on the farm.

Thats what has me worried. It doesn't say in the conditions section or the additional conditions that my ATT applies to all restricted firearms registered in my name.

The area where my registered guns would be says "see conditions" and in conditions it says

transport of the restricted firearm(s) is authorized to and from approved ranges as indicated on this att for target shooting

then a bunch of other stuff. And on additional conditions it says the holder must be in possession of the certificates.

Yes, so you can basically borrow restricted firearms from friends and not need a new ATT. Just be sure you get the certificate and meet at the range.

Well, I faxed it about two weeks ago then called tuesday to see what was taking so long. Turns out they didnt receive it. So the nice lady at the CFO gave me a new number to fax it to and I got it in less than 24 hours.

Nice, Thanks! Think I'll try the same route even tho I'm in bantario.... That's awesome you're good to go and fairly quick ;edit; for the first ATT that is

Im still kind of confused though. Am I covered for all of my guns that I buy in the future or will I need another att.

your LATT covers you for transport for any firearm you have a certificate for in your possession to and from the places specified on the LATT until it expires. Anything else you need a SATT.
