Hi Everyone:
I only started earlier this year, including first hunting trip, and I recently took a stab a hand-loading 30.06 cartridges for my rifle.
In a short time I have managed to accumulate 4 guns, namely a Ruger 10/22, a Browning X-Bolt Hunter (30.06), a Beretta PX4 Storm (9mm) and a Ruger GP100 (0.357 Mag). Yeah I know it's quite a handful for someone new to the sport. But I guess things could be worse, heh.
Shooting handguns has a HUGE grin factor but what I really want to get good at is on the rifle.
For next year I'm looking forward to slowly starting re-loading, my next hunting trip, and first and foremost shooting smaller groups.
I consider myself fortunate because a good friend of mine (on this board) introduced me to shooting rifles. He's been hunting/shooting for decades and is basically mentoring me through all the steps. Makes all the difference that I'm not going in totally blind, otherwise I may never have fired a round.
