I recently acquired a 2019 BCL 102 that appears to be a gen 2 or 3, serial number in the 3300 range. As the world has been on lock down I have been unable to fire it yet so cannot comment as to its functionality. I can say that the fit and finish are as good as can be expected with zero slop or play between the upper and lower, all parts feel tight, and the anodizing is consistent. There is one irregularity however, the barrel is marked with the bcl griffin and .308, but it is non fluted. Can anyone shed light on this. The rifle was purchased new from a reputable dealer in January of this year and has never been fired.

BCL MK7’s barrel is what you have there I imagine. My rifle started to have function issues and BCL replaced the barrel in November with the MK7 model barrel to fix the issue. It isn't fluted at all but the rifle works excellent now with absolutely no issues.

I am just getting my first batch Gen 1 back from them tomorrow. I'll check to see which barrel they put on it. I know they said that their barrels they currently manufacture wouldn't match up with my upper reciever, so they replaced the receiver too.

Out of curiosity, what kind of groups you get with the new barrel?

1.5 -2” at 100 yards off a bipod, prone. It could be better if I shot better with it. I get 1” groups all day with the same hand loads out of my Remington 700 in .308. I’m not completely used to shooting the semi yet. I’ve put lots of lead down range but mostly shooting steel with it between 50 and 150 yards.
