Another chinese sks, Weird stamping?

I got this SKS 5 years ago, And was told the stamp at the end of the serial # was odd, I could be wrong too and it might be nothing, But does the A at the end mean?

There were over 100 armory's that made the
Chinese SKS, the A was added by the importer
to avoid duplication of serial numbers.
