Hiya Folks!
Dropping in to join Martin from SA. Always marvelled the way you folks used that "postal campaign".

Inexpensive and effective way to do things.
Welcome to the site.

Thank you! :cheers::rockOn:

Well, it's the team effort thing that's great and in many ways we lack in.
The average gun owner in SA, is still very much the "frog in cold water, still to be boiled". However, the more aware folks, seeing our gun rights slipping, realise that the plate is already on and the boiling process is starting.

I guess I'll watch and learn, while carrying for my 33rd year. :rockOn:

I'm so damn envious:rolleyes:

Welcome to CGN, enjoy your stay and by all means feel free to contribute we'l have you saying "EH" in no time.

Thanks folks ...

Really feel welcome!

Yes this is SA, like in South Africa. Cape Town to be more specific. (You can "Google Map" it even!)

This is the place where we are fighting for the rights to our FA's with our left hand, while keeping the BG's at bay with the right hand. Yo!, do we have a Fire Arm Control Act in the bake, of which the rules are more or less an amorphous entity? If you are doing a renewal of your 30+ year old licences under this new act, you have no gaurantee that you are to get reafirmation. Nobody even knows what the criteria should be for "making the grade" for competency, or valid reasons for retaining your pieces. Add to that the backlog in waiting for the outcome and stress becomes a normal part of living. :bangHead:

Apart from that Cape Town's a cool place for kicking back. Those that's been, will know it. Not the most productive place to be in, but we work clever, while admiring the view! :popCorn:

Welcome aboard!

BTW, if you're willing to ship some SA surplus 7.62x51 battle packs over here you'll make friends (and money) very quickly! :D
