found this at a local shop last week....

Model 70 WinLite Fwt.....in very good condition,..and,..in 25-06

Push feed action of course and genuine McMillan stock factory installed by Winchester....weighs 6lbs 10 oz as pictured....with a set of Talleys and a light Leupold it should stay under 7-1/2.....

Now,..we'll see if I can hang on to it until spring when I might actually shoot it...

It did. I figured all winlite fwts were that way. Sad part is I tore it apart to make a 25-06 that didn't work out as well as I'd expected so sold it.

That 300Wby was a nice rifle. Leeper ended up with it, and as I recall some guy had him pull off the barrel and replace it with a 7STW. Talk about a step down!!

Speaking of 300's, I just bought back the old classic stainless 300Wby barrel I sold you years ago when Leeper built my Norma. I'll never use it but if nothing else it's a souvenir!

Nice rifle. I've had two of those Win Lites, one in 270 and one in 300 Win Mag. The 270 has become a 280 project gun, and I still hunt with the 300 sometimes. Good rifles. - dan
